A Study on the Psychology Conflict of Renounce North Korean and a Solution of the Policy to Social-Welfare

Abstract
There are three important outcomes when a renounce North Korean successfully adapt to the Republic of Korea. The first one is humanity. North Korea is a very poor country when compared to the Republic of Korea. As a result, a South Korean citizen should help a renounce North Korean as much as possible when the renounce North Korean enters South Korea. The second one is unification. Having more North Korean in South Korea will help increase the chances of uniting North and South Korea. South Korean will change their views of North Korean when they see a renounce North Korean successfully adapting to South Korea, This will also change the attitude of the renounce North Koreans toward South Koreans and their views on unification due the how they were treated during the process of adapting. The third one is ethnic unification. Even if North and South Korea are to be united, the process of post unification will face many obstacles. North and South Korea have been at war with each other for the last fifty something years. Therefore, there are many personal grudges towards each other from the many casualties due to the war. To overcome these obstacles, the South Korea government made a legislation in 1997 which allows all North Koreans South Korean citizenship if they successfully escape to South Korea. The purpose of this legislation is to provide as much aids as possible for renounce North Korean when they start to settle down in South Korea. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find the psychological conflict, a solution for it, a guidance for social welfare policy analysis.
